Since I started looking into the Greek mythology after my roundtrip through Greece I am getting more and more curious ! Here are some creatures. A horror movie is a love story against the Greek mythology !!

1. Satyrs
are a troop of male companions that roamed the woods and mountains. They are often associated with sex drive and vase-painters often portrayed them with uncontrollable erections.

2. Nymph
is in human female form. Nymphs live in mountains and groves, by springs and rivers, and in valleys and cool grottoes. They were the frequent target of satyrs.

13.Chimera was a monstrous creature which was made of the parts of multiple animals : "a thing of immortal make, not human, lion-fronted and snake behind, a goat in the middle, and snorting out the breath of the terrible flame of bright fire"

  6. Nice list - I'm a mythology geek. I've got a soft spot for furies & minotaurs...the Theseus story is one of my favorites. :)

  7. They're all fairly nasty, aren't they?!

  8. I often wonder whether the contractor that built my home had an affair with Triton's wife or did something else to make him very angry sometime in the past - everything to do with water in this place is cursed!

  16. I am so grateful for the pictures with the words. Like Nymphs are connected to groves and water, right? You wouldn't see a nymph in the air or on the street like a fairy - is that right? I'm terrified of Chimeras - weird I know...

Furies, yes. They are scary too!

Great list - very well done!

    Happy TT
